Day Planner privacy

Last updated 21 October 2026

Our approach to privacy

Daily Schedule Planner & To Do (“Day Planner”) works without an account. We do not operate a server that receives your tasks or lists. The app has no advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs, and we do not sell your personal information.

This policy explains what the app stores, when information can leave your device, and how you control it.

Information stored on your device

Tasks, subtasks, notes, lists and their items, your Inbox, routines and their runs, focus sessions, daily check-ins (how a day felt), and places you choose for place reminders are stored in the app's data on your device. Preferences, the optional name you enter, and the items the app remembers to suggest for your lists are also stored on your device.

Today's load, Make today lighter, Balance my week, your best hours, and insights are calculated on your device from your own records. They are not sent to us.

iCloud sync

If iCloud sync is on, your tasks, lists, Inbox, routines, focus sessions, and check-ins are also stored in your private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit, so they can appear on your other devices. That database belongs to your Apple Account; we cannot read it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

You can turn sync off in Settings → Privacy & data. Preferences and remembered list items are not synced.

Calendar and Reminders

Calendar access is optional. If you allow it, the app reads events from the calendars you switch on, on your device, to show them beside your tasks and count them toward your day. Events are not stored by the app or sent to us, and the app never edits your calendar.

Reminders access is optional and is requested only when you choose to import Apple Reminders. The app reads your open reminders to list them for you, and marks the ones you import as completed only if you choose that option.

Location

Location access is optional and is used only for place reminders. When you choose a place, the app saves its name and coordinates and asks iOS to notify you when you arrive. iOS performs that check; the app does not track your movements, keep a location history, or send your location to us.

Searching for a place uses Apple Maps, so your search text is sent to Apple to find matching places. Apple's processing is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Notifications, Siri, and widgets

Task, routine, evening, and place reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. Notification permission is optional.

Siri and Shortcuts actions, such as adding a task or adding to a list, run on your device. Widgets read your plan from a shared container on your device to show it on your Home Screen and Lock Screen.

Purchases

Apple processes purchases and subscriptions through your Apple Account. The app uses StoreKit to show products, check whether Planner Plus is active, and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment details.

Exports and sharing

Export my data creates a JSON file that you choose where to save or share. It is not encrypted. Once you share it or save it to another service, that destination's privacy practices apply. We do not receive the file unless you send it to us.

Support messages

If you email support@dailylifeapps.com, we receive your email address and what you choose to send, and use it only to respond. Please include only what is needed to troubleshoot.

Retention and deletion

Your records stay until you delete them. Delete all data in Settings → Privacy & data removes them from this device, and from your iCloud when sync is on. Uninstalling the app removes the copy on that device; data in your iCloud remains until you delete it in the app or in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

There is no developer-held account or server copy to request deletion of. Exported files and device backups are separate; manage them yourself.

Children's privacy

The app does not create online profiles or intentionally collect children's information. It is a personal planning tool.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when features or privacy practices change. The date above identifies this version. Send privacy questions to support@dailylifeapps.com.
