Help and contact

Contact support@dailylifeapps.com with your device model, iOS version, app version, and a short description of the issue. Please do not send exported data files unless we ask for them. We cannot see your tasks or lists through the app and do not need them to help.

Do I need an account? Does my plan sync?

No account is needed. Your tasks, lists, routines, and focus sessions are stored on your device. With iCloud sync turned on (Settings → Privacy & data → Sync with iCloud), they are also kept in your own private iCloud database so they appear on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. We cannot see that data.

Sync needs you to be signed in to iCloud on each device. Turning sync on or off takes effect the next time you open the app. Your preferences and the items the app remembers for your lists stay on each device and are not synced.

What does “Make today lighter” do?

When the work left today is more than you usually get through, Make today lighter shows a gentler version of the rest of the day: a missed task slotted into the next free gap, a flexible task moved to tomorrow, a long block shortened. Every change has its own switch and a reason. Nothing changes until you tap Apply, and the banner that follows has Undo.

Tasks you mark Protect from replanning are never moved or shortened. Free includes three uses a month; Planner Plus makes it unlimited.

Where do left-over tasks from earlier days go?

Unfinished tasks stay on the day they were planned. When some are waiting, Today shows a Fresh start card: choose the ones that still matter to bring them into today, and the rest are parked in your Inbox. Nothing is deleted.

How do plain lists work?

Open the Lists tab on Today and start a list; a name is optional. Type an item and press return to add the next. Add an amount after the name, such as “Rice 5 kg”. Shopping lists group items by aisle, and the app suggests items you have added before. Lists stay until you delete them; when everything is ticked off you can use the list again.

Why didn't a reminder arrive?

Allow notifications for Day Planner in iOS Settings and check that a Focus mode is not silencing it. Time reminders need a start time on the task. Reminders are scheduled on your device, not sent from a server.

Place reminders (Planner Plus) also need Location access set to While Using. iOS decides when you have arrived, so a reminder can arrive a little early or late, or not at all if the place is very close to where you already are.

How do I bring in my Apple Reminders?

With Planner Plus, open Settings → Integrations → Apple Reminders → Choose reminders and allow access. Reminders with a date become tasks on that day; those without a date go to your Inbox. You can choose to tick the originals off in Apple Reminders so they don't appear twice.

What is free, and what does Planner Plus add?

Free covers the whole day planner and lists: Now and Next, today's load, unlimited tasks and lists, aisle grouping, quick add, timeline, calendar views, focus, two routines, one calendar, three uses of Make today lighter a month, Home Screen widgets, and iCloud sync.

Planner Plus adds unlimited Make today lighter and Plan Rescue, Balance my week, your best hours, place reminders, more reminders per task, Apple Reminders import, every calendar, unlimited routines, long-term insights, Lock Screen widgets, and themes. It is available monthly, yearly with a free trial, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The app shows the current prices supplied by Apple before you buy.

How do I export or delete my data?

Open Settings → Privacy & data → Export my data to save a JSON file with your tasks, lists, Inbox, routines, focus sessions, daily check-ins, and preferences. The file is not encrypted; store and share it carefully.

Delete all data in the same screen removes every task, list, routine, and session. With iCloud sync on, it also removes them from your iCloud, so they disappear from your other devices. Deleting the app removes the copy on that device only. Neither cancels a subscription.

How do I restore purchases or cancel Planner Plus?

Use Restore purchases on the Planner Plus screen to check purchases associated with your Apple Account. Restoring purchases does not restore tasks or lists.

To manage or cancel a subscription, open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Day Planner. Apple handles purchases, billing, and refund requests.
