Add or correct the birthday in Contacts

If the birthday field is empty or wrong:

  4. Scroll to the birthday field. Tap add birthday if no date exists.

Reopen the contact and verify the saved month and day before returning to Calendar. This confirms the source data and avoids repeatedly changing unrelated settings.

Contacts on an iPhone may come from several accounts. A person who is absent from All iCloud might be stored in Google, Exchange, Yahoo, or another configured service.

  2. Select All iCloud and search for the person.
  3. Return to Lists and check each other account, such as All Gmail or All Exchange.
  4. Open the contact and confirm that its birthday is visible on this iPhone.

The practical test is not where you remember creating the contact. It is whether the card and birthday are currently visible in Apple's Contacts app.
